Block Schedules

There are many different types of schedules that work for high schools. Some work better that others in terms of the high school's needs and values. The different types of secondary schedules include an AB block schedule, a 4x4 block schedule, a traditional or period schedule, trimester block schedule, and a 75-75-30 block schedule. 

In Wenatchee, Washington, the Wenatchee High School, weighed their advantages and disadvantages before they switched over to a 4x4 block schedule. They also made a chart that has five different variations of how AP courses would fit into a 4x4 block schedule. This would be a great chart to consider looking at before deciding that one schedule fits all the students needs.
