Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge

What is TPaCK?

Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) attempts to identify the nature of knowledge required by teachers for technology integration in their teaching, while addressing the complex, multifaceted and situated nature of teacher knowledge. The TPACK framework extends Shulman’s idea of Pedagogical Content Knowledge.

Examples of TPaCKs

TPaCK is useful for all levels of education. Including technology into the classroom will prepare students for the skills they need to succeed in the 21st century.

The TPaCK I chose

I chose a TPaCK model that includes children's books and blogging. This fun lesson allows students to read new books, understand the books' concepts and transcribe their finding in a technological way. In this case, a student's very own literature blog.
